I have seen a few of these on the site and am going to keep this thread going until September. i would like to drop 20-25 pounds. I was a good high school athlete(weighed 185) and played college football( got up to 225) as well and really started to put on weight in college. Well nine years later and two weeks after we had our first Son i got on the scale and weighed 268. I have worked pretty hard since then and about a year after having our son got down to 228. Well I started to get shin splints and took some time off from cardio and just weighed myself tonight and I was 240.

I am starting my knew workout regime with my buddy tomorrow morning at 6:00. I plan on continuing to get stronger but at the same time increase cardio and re commit to healthy eating.

I will weigh in Monday morning and then Friday mornings will be official weigh ins. See ya soon

Good luck, I'm re-re-starting (lol) my fitness and diet programs again today.

It won't be easy, but keep your goals in mind.

First official Friday weigh in was 234 this morning. Pretty good first week. Ate okay this week and working out in morning feels great when your done and Have the rest of the day. Tough waking up at 5:30 especially since it is summerbreak. Only time I can get there on a regular basis since I am with my Son all day.

Lifted Full body 30 Minute circuit with cardio steps in between each exercise. Really helps to be working out with Todd since he helps keep me accountable to get there in morning.

Looking into trying High Intensity Interval Training (HIIT) next week. Doing some research on it and results seem to be better for weight loss but not muscle loss. I will do this 4 days a week and use the treadmill 2 of those days, Bike or elliptical on the other 2 days.

Have an all day wiffleball tourney tomorrow. Talk to you soon.

Woke up for morning workout. Had a bad weekend of limited workout and ate like crap. Didn't want to weigh in. Lifted chest and tri's today. Had the stupid alarm at my gym go off on me because they said I dropped the weights. Pretty gay but whatever. Tried the HIIT training and it was tough I only did 5 minute warmup 10 minute interval with a 5 minute cooldown. It was different but I enjoyed it a lot. Need to probably run faster during the Max intensity but did not want to fall off of the treadmill.

Good workout this morning. Worked Back and Biceps then warmed up for 5 minutes on treadmill than HIIT for 10 minutes followed by about 4 minutes of jogging than 3 minute cooldown. I am going to increase the Hiit time next week to 12 or 13 minutes.

HIIT is the way to go to trim the fat! Due to it's intensity, make sure you have a little whey/oats before you workout.

Worked Shoulders this morning them did 10 minutes on stepper, 10 minutes eliptical and 10 minutes. My weight has not changed but I was happy to see my body fat percenage was 18%. When I started workingout a little over a year ago it was 31%. Still a long way to go. Would like to get down to 10-12%.

winninstreak, early on i couldnt tell if i was losin fat, gainin muscle,etc,etc....the scale, short term is so unreliable as to yer body composition....at that time, along the route i was walkin there were a lot of storefront windows and one day i happened to glance sideways at my profile..yeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeha..i didnt know who the hell that guy was...by that time i'd lost about forty lbs and i cant tell you how happy i was to see how much my stomach had shrunk..henceforth,thats the way i check myself out.that and my clothes are the best gauge of where you're at...freakin scale will drive ye nuts..at one time i weighed myself every day..not any more........one thing i feel compelled to say to you is this....check out my thread and you can see how many guys came in there all gung ho..lost 10 lbs in 2 weeks..next 2 weeks no weight loss and now they're hid out in the offshore forum..lol...my point is this..think in terms of 6 months or a year..anything is liabled to happen in 30 days....i've gone as high as 2 months and didnt lose a lb because first of all i didn know what i was doin....talk about heartbreakin....consistency + time = good health......that being said, looks like you're doin a fine job........those who DO get results...those who DO NOT dont......'keep the continue'

Good workout this morming Lifted Chest and Triceps, thEN RAN A LITTLE OVER A MILE ON TREADMILL AND WALKED ABOUT 7 MORE MINUTES. My wife, 15 month old son and I went to track tonight. Decided to start two a day workouts. I would run/jog a lap while my wife pushed the baby carriage and then we would switch roles after a lap. I ran 2 miles. Wife ran 1 mile and the coolest part was my son jog walked a little more than a quarter mile by himself. Pretty good for a baby.

Weighed myself this morning as I always do the 1st of the month. Hit my goals for the month and time to concentrate and focus on all around goals. I have not had a drink of alcohol for two weeks now (may not seem like a long time but for those that know me it is) and will not until I hit my short-term goal.
Keep up the good work.
